Everything you need to know before arriving at TechArtSkills Centre for your exam.
Before You Arrive

Arrive Early
Plan to arrive at least30 minutes before your scheduled exam time, unless your exam provider specifies a different arrival time.

Bring Valid Identification
Bring the identification required by your exam provider. The name on your ID should match the name used for your exam registration.

Check Your Confirmation
Review your exam confirmation email before travelling to the centre and make sure you know your exam date, time, and any provider-specific requirements.

Know Your Exam Provider's Rules
Identification, arrival times, permitted items, breaks, and other rules may vary by exam provider. Always follow the instructions provided with your exam registration.
What to Expect on Exam Day

Check In
Report to reception and provide your required identification and exam information.

Secure Personal Items
Store personal belongings in the designated locker or area as instructed by staff

Complete Security Procedures
Complete any security checks required by your exam program before entering the testing room.

Begin Your Exam
Your proctor will provide the applicable instructions and direct you to your assigned testing station
Personal Belongings & Prohibited Items
Candidates should expect to store personal belongings before entering the testing area. Items permitted inside the testing room depend on the rules of the individual exam provider.
Examples of items that may need to be stored include:
- Mobile phones and smart devices
- Bags and backpacks
- Coats and outerwear
- Watches and smartwatches
- Notes, books, and study materials
- Food and beverages
- Other unauthorized personal items
Important: Exam-provider policies vary. Always follow the specific instructions issued for your examination.
Identification Requirements
Candidates are responsible for bringing identification that meets the requirements of their specific exam provider.
Before exam day:
✓ Check which forms of identification are accepted.
✓ Make sure your identification is valid and not expired.
✓ Confirm that your registration name matches your identification.
✓ Bring any additional identification required by the exam provider.
If the required identification cannot be presented, the exam provider's rules may prevent the candidate from testing.
Late Arrival
Running Late?
Arriving late may affect your ability to take the exam. Admission after the scheduled appointment time is subject to the rules of the applicable exam provider.
Accommodations
Candidates requiring testing accommodations should arrange and obtain approval through their exam provider before the exam appointment, where applicable.Once accommodations have been approved, contact TechArtSkills Centre if you need assistance coordinating your testing appointment.
